What not to love about Spring

Do hear the birds out there? Spring is here! Spring is my ultimate favourite season, I just love the warm not yet sticky kind of weather and all the amazing benefits that come along.

This post has mean on my mind over the past week. However due to Easter Break, I really had to prioritize my chores and stick to what I could do. Although I’m currently on mini vacations from Uni, we have so many papers to deliver in the first week after the break that I really had to step up my game. All that while working some double shifts!

Better later than ever. Here are my favourite things about Spring Continue reading What not to love about Spring

How to relax after a bad day

You missed your alarm, and overslept? Missed your train or got stuck in traffic? Spilled your coffee on your favourite shirt? Top to it all, arrived over an hour late to work or school. We’ve all had those days where nothing goes right but it’s important to have a way to let go of any frustration.

But unfortunately, relaxing doesn’t come very easily to most people. Even if you want to relax, it is very difficult to get out of that stressful mode and simply relax.

Today I want to share 12 tips how to relax after a bad day and I hope they help you as much as they help me! Continue reading How to relax after a bad day

Beauty Souvenirs from the UK

The time is really flying by and I’ve already got back from vacations almost a month ago. I’m more than ready to pack again and go away for a few days!

This last trip was to the UK, I’ve gone with my boyfriend to visit his family and we stay in the South, more precisely in Horsham. Horsham is a small and cute village an hour away from London, and it’s a very relaxing place to rest for a few days. Then we had a getaway to London to have a real city break, and to visit some attractions we weren’t able to see last year.

As any other women, before leaving Portugal, I’ve done a not so small list of what I would like to buy there, especially beauty wise. Otherwise, I would just get to Boots or Superdrug and be there for hours or days! I have to confess the list was much bigger than what I’ve brought with me, I’ve decided to stick to what I really needed, not for what I really want (which was the entire stock on my bathroom!).

Black Bean & Quinoa Salad Recipe

Today I’ve decided to share with you one of my favourite recipes.

Do you ever feel lazy to cook but still want to eat clean? Or having one of those days you feel like cooking but don’t have that much time to waste in the kitchen?

What if I tell you this recipe takes not more than 20 min to prepare? You can even do it on the night before, and it will be ridiculously delicious!

This is the first vegetarian recipe I’ve tried to do on my own and even my mommy likes it – which means a lot, since she is super picky about food, and is constantly turning up the nose at what I eat!

Who am I? The Liebster Award

Two weeks ago Ella from Ella Pinto nominated me to take part in the Liebster Award. It’s actually the first time I’ve been nominated for something like this so a huge thank you to Ella. If you haven’t checked out her blog it’s a lovely beauty and lifestyle blog. Ella is my best friend, my brain sister and the person got me started in writing a blog. You can read her answers on her post.

I have to confess I’m not the biggest fan of talking about myself but I’ll give it a try.

My absence & Easyjet Experience

First and foremost I have to apology for being extremely slack on my blog and twitter lately. As I’ve mentioned before I went on vacations, the blog was only starting and I hadn’t really prepared any post to be published during the vacations. This adventure was only at its beginning and I wasn’t prepared for it. I’m a perfectionist person and didn’t want to have a blog where I haven’t put 100% effort. At the end of the vacations I’ve had a small big problem, and returned super stressed with zero patience to do anything.

Now I’ve taken a week to organize Uni just started but I’m getting there with my new timetable!

Today I want to share my small big problem, not that I’m benefiting from this but just to clear my conscience and move on from this problem which has been consuming all my positive energy.

Grab yourself a cup of tea and read all about it.

Makeup essentials

I’m traveling this month, more exactly tomorrow!! I know I am only going to be gone for around a week, but I’m a bit concerned about packing my clothes and everything I need for this trip. What if I forget something I need? One thing I had to keep in mind was to be organized and make things simple.

Regarding makeup, I like quick solutions and it’s all about looking presentable to the outside world (no one needs to witness my naked face) so I thought I’d share the products I reach for on a daily basis. Continue reading Makeup essentials
